Smart Console

The module access options determine:

      Whether a phone number can be shared with a caller.

      Whether a phone call can be transferred using the VAT feature and whether the phone number is spoken during the call transfer.

 

Module Access Option(s) Selected

Action

Enabled + Published

When these options are both selected, they determine whether an operator can give a phone number to a caller.

NOTE: If only one of these options is selected, it has no effect on Smart Console. They must both be selected.

When the Published and Enabled options are both selected, the phone number in the directory record can be shared with a caller. A “Y” (Yes) flag displays next to phone number in the Phone section in the Individual Profile window in Smart Console.

When the Published and Enabled options are not selected, the phone number in the directory record should not be shared with a caller. An “N” (No) flag displays next to phone number in the Phone section in the Individual Profile window in Smart Console and the person and padlock icon displays in the Individual Profile window.

Transfer (Allowed)

Select this option to allow phone calls to be transferred using the VAT feature. The Transfer option in the VAT (Voice Activate Transfer) dialog is selected.

The phone number is not repeated by the system and the Speak Digits option in the VAT (Voice Activate Transfer) dialog is not selected.

Enabled + Published + Transfer (Allowed)

Select this option to allow phone calls to be transferred using the VAT feature. The Transfer option in the VAT (Voice Activate Transfer) dialog is selected.

The phone number is repeated by the system. The Speak Digits option in the VAT (Voice Activate Transfer) dialog is selected.
