Sending a Message to the Individual Currently On-Call

A page can be sent to a person or a function that has a current on-call assignment listed in the screen. If an individual cannot receive a page, the page is stored with the operator as a message and can be retrieved in the Personal Profile screen.

The page or message icon displays in the Page/Msg column in the list of on-call assignments.

	Pager icon. This icon displays only if the person or function is assigned a pager and is able to receive a page. The page icon toggles with the message icon.
	Message icon. This icon displays only if the person is not assigned a pager or if the person is assigned a pager and is not able to be paged. The message can be retrieved in the Personal Profile page in Smart Web, or from an operator.
