Two ATMS user roles are available for Call Assistant in the Users form in Smart Center. These roles determine the privileges available in Call Assistant.
|
CALL_ASSISTANT_ADMIN
|
A user assigned this role is able to change or delete the extension for the computer they are logged into. These privileges are also granted if a user is assigned the ATMS_ADMIN role. If a user is granted this role, you do not need to grant the CALL_ASSISTANT_ADMIN role as well. |
|
CALL_ASSISTANT_SUPER_ADMIN |
A user assigned this role is able to change or delete the extension for any computer that has been previously registered with Call Assistant. These privileges are also granted if a user is assigned the ATMS_SUPER_ADMIN role. If a user is granted this role, you do not need to grant the CALL_ASSISTANT_SUPER_ADMIN role as well. |
NOTE: The instructions below explain how to assign the ATMS roles, user name, and password needed for Call Assistant. For a complete discussion of the Users form, please refer to the Smart Center User’s Guide.
1. Access Smart Center.
2. Choose Admin|Users. The Users form displays.
3. Display the user name to which you want to assign a Call Assistant ATMS role. Press <Enter> to query for existing records and use the scroll bar to display the record you want to change, or query for the specific record.
4. A password must be assigned to the user name. The password is used to log in to the Admin function in Call Assistant.
a. In the New Password field, enter a password for the user. The password must meet the following specifications to be valid:
• At least 10 characters in length
• Use 2 lower-case letters
• Use 2 special characters. These characters cannot be used:
/ : @ & “ , . { } \ ^ { } | ~
• Use 2 digits
• Use 2 upper-case letters
• Spaces are not allowed
b. Retype the same password in the Retype Password field to verify the password originally entered. If the entries in this field and the New Password field do not match, you are not allowed to save the record.
5. In the Granted Spok Roles section, you can specify the Call Assistant role for the user.
a. Verify the roles that have currently been granted.
• If a user has been granted the ATMS_ADMIN role, you do not have to grant the CALL_ASSISTANT_ADMIN role. The privileges in the CALL_ASSISTANT_ADMIN role are included in the ATMS_ADMIN role.
• If a user has been granted the ATMS_SUPER_ADMIN role, you do not have to grant the CALL_ASSISTANT_SUPER_ADMIN role. The privileges in the CALL_ASSISTANT_SUPER_ADMIN role are included in the ATMS_SUPER_ADMIN role.
b. Click in an empty row. If a role has not previously been defined, the ATMS_OPERATOR role is added by default.
c. Press <F3> or click the Display List of Values button to display a list of roles to choose from.
d. Select the CALL_ASSISTANT_ADMIN or CALL_ASSISTANT_SUPER_ADMIN role from the list.
